The Declaration of Candidacy Form can be found at this link HERE, this is a simple form that puts you on file as a candidate for the 2026-2027 Student Government Elections. This form should be used by ALL candidates (Representatives, President, Executive Vice President, Academic Senators, etc.)
Monday, February 9, 2026: Declaration of Candidacy form opens
Thursday, February 19, 2026: Both Declaration of Candidacy and President and Executive Vice President Candidacy forms close at 5pm
Tuesday, February 24, 2026: First Election Rules Meeting at 9am
Wednesday, February 25, 2026: Second Election Rules Meeting at 9am
Monday, March 9, 2026: Campaigning begins
Wednesday, March 18, 2026: Town Hall / Debate for Candidates, Location and Time TBD
Monday, March 23, 2026: Petitions are due at 5pm
Wednesday, April 1, 2026: Polls open at 8am
Thursday, April 2, 2026: Polls close at 5pm
Friday, April 3, 2026: Election Grievance Form closes at 8am
Friday, April 3, 2026: Results announced by 5pm
Monday, April 20, 2026: Transition Meeting in McKay Auditorium at 4pm
Thursday, April 23, 2026: Passing of the Gavel at Student Awards Banquet
