How will an appropriation from the Student Government Association aid your organization in achieving its goals/mission? Appropriations from SGA are vital to our success as an organization. With these monies our organization will be able to provide out members with the tools needed to knit/crochet. In turn this will enable us as a student organization to positively impact the Youngstown Community thru our work.

Fundraising: We will be hosting a workshop as part of the Global Day of Service and then meeting Bi-weekly after that. Currently our only fundraiser is giving our members the option of purchasing materials from us instead of borrowing them. Once regular meeting commence more opportunities will be determined.

How will your organization contribute to the enrichment of the Youngstown State University community? Our organization will contribute to the YSU community by providing an outlet for students who want to learn to knit or crochet. As far as we are aware, we are the only organization like this at YSU. Because of this we provide a unique experience to our fellow students. Yarn crafts are making a resurgence within the young adult demographic and we want to capitalize on that and use it to bring students together. Additionally, Yarn crafts operate as a great form of stress relief, something the majority of university students need more of.
