A Bill

Make appropriations for 13 12 organizations

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Youngstown State University Student Government Association assembled, that the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Appropriations Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2018, for the following activities of student organizations:

Section 1: Zeta Tau Alpha, is appropriated the sum of $2,000.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of four hundred (400) student admission fees to their “The Pink Ribbon Cheer Classic” event held on October 22nd, 2017. This event will be held in the Beeghly Gym at Youngstown State University. Two thousand-five hundred (2,500) community members are expected to attend.

Section 2: Youngstown State Art Educators Association, is appropriated the sum of $510.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of registration for their “Ohio Art Education Association 2017 State Conference” event starting on November 3rd, 2017. This event will be held in Toledo, OH. Two (2) students are expected to attend.

Section 3: Racquet Ball Club, is appropriated the sum of $450.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of an entry fee to their “Ohio Art Education Association 2017 State Conference” event held on October 21st, 2017. Twelve (12) students are expected to attend.

Section 4: Pi Sigma Epsilon, is appropriated the sum of $625.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of twenty-five (25) student organization admission fees for their “Student Organization Social Media Competition” held on November 2nd, 2017. This event will be held in Williamson Hall at Youngstown State University. Twenty-five (25) student organizations are expected to attend.

Section 54: Dana Guitar Association of YSU, is appropriated the sum of $1,000.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of Jazz Masterclass Fee for their “Guest Artist Jazz Masterclass and Performance” held on November 17th, 2017. This event will be held in Bliss Hall at Youngstown State University. One hundred twenty (120) students are expected to attend.

Section 65: Greek Campus Life, is appropriated the sum of $3,500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of security, auditorium deposit, rental, and for the lighting and sound for their “Greek Sing” event held on April 9th, 2018. This event will be held at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, OH. Three hundred (300) students are expected to attend.

Section 76: Pi Mu Epsilon, is appropriated the sum of $600.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of food and supplies for their “Math Department Tailgate” event held on October 28th, 2017. This event will be held at the Youngstown State University tailgate lot. One hundred (100) students are expected to attend.

Section 87: Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, is appropriated the sum of $1,500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of registration fees for their “Harvest” event held on October 20th, 2017. This event will be held at the McKinley Grand Hotel in Canton, OH. Twenty (20) students are expected to attend.

Section 98: STEM Leadership Society, is appropriated the sum of $900.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of a bus to their “Great Lakes Brewery Tour” event held on November 3rd, 2017. This event will be held at the Great Lakes Brewery in Cleveland, OH. Thirty (30) students are expected to attend.

Section 109: American Institution of Chemical Engineers, is appropriated the sum of $2,500.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel and airfare fees for their “AIChE Student National Conference 2017” event held on October 27th through the 30th, 2017. This event will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Four (4) students are expected to attend.

Section 1110: YSU Urban Gaming Club, is appropriated the sum of $300.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of props, costumes/decorations, and miscellaneous office supplies for their “2017 Fall Invitational” event starting on October 20th, 2017. This event will be held in the Campus Core at Youngstown State University. One Hundred (100) students are expected to attend.

Section 1211: Men’s Club Volleyball, is appropriated the sum of $360.00 from the general fund to defray the cost twelve (12) student admissions for their “Volleyball Tournament” event held on October 7th, 2017. This event will be held in Stambaugh Stadium at Youngstown State University. Seventy (70) players are expected to attend.

Section 1312: Men’s Club Volleyball, is appropriated the sum of $250.00 from the general fund to defray the entry fee into their “Grove City Volleyball Tournament” event held on December 2nd, 2017. This event will be held in Grove City, PA. Fourteen (14) students are expected to attend.

Section 1413: Men’s Club Volleyball, is appropriated the sum of $275.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of entry fee into their “Kent State Volleyball Tournament” event held on October 21st, 2017. This event will be held at Kent State University. Fourteen (14) students are expected to attend.

Section 1514: Men’s Lacrosse Club, is appropriated the sum of $935.00 from the general fund to defray the cost of fees for their “National Lacrosse League Association” event held on October 9th, 2017. This event will be held in Maryland. Twenty-four (24) students are expected to attend.
