Make an amendment to one (1) organization

Section 11: YSU Bass Team, is appropriated the sum of $750 $1,000 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel and gas fees for their “FLW Regional Qualifier” event held on April 17th, 2018 thru April 21st, 2018. This event will be held in Smith Mountain Lake, VA. Six (6) students are expected to attend.

A Bill

Make appropriations for seven (7) organizations

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Youngstown State University Student Government Association assembled, that the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Appropriations Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2018, for the following activities of student organizations:

Section 1: Economics Club is appropriated the sum of $300 from the Chartwells budget to defray the cost of food for the “Spring Banquet” event held on April 26th, 2018. This event will be held in Kilcawley Center, President’s Suite. Fifty (50) students are expected to attend.

Section 2: Student Affairs and Leadership Support Association (SALSA) is appropriated the sum of $350 from the general fund and $300 from the Chartwells budget to defray the cost of catering for the “Student Affairs Summit” event held on April 6th, 2018 in Beeghly Hall. Fifty (50) students are expected to attend.

Section 3: YSU United Nations Association is appropriated the sum of $1,700 from the general fund to defray the cost of car rental for the “National Model United Nations Conference” event held on March 24th, 2018 thru March 30th, 2018 in New York, New York. Twenty (20) students are expected to attend.

Section 4: Racquetball Club is appropriated the sum of $1,000 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel and entry fees for their “Collegiate Nationals” event held on March 14th, 2018 thru March 17th, 2018 in Minneapolis, MN. Five (5) students are expected to attend.

Section 5: YSU Bass Club is appropriated the sum of $1,450 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel, gas, and oil for their “National Championship” event held on May 24th, 2018 thru June 3rd, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. Two (2) students are expected to attend.

Section 6: YSU Flute Society is appropriated the sum of $750 to defray the cost of performer fees for their “25th Annual Flute Festival Special Guest Artist Recital” event held on March 25th, 2018 in DeYor Preforming Arts Center. Fifty (50) students are expected to attend.

Section 7: HPAC/HCOP is appropriated the sum of $300 from the general fund and $300 from the Chartwells budget to defray the cost of food for their “Buddies Not Barriers” event held on March 25th, 2018 in the WATTS Center. One-Hundred (100) students are expected to attend.

Section 8: Enactus is appropriated the sum of $0 for their “Monster Invitational” on March 17th, 2018 thru March 18th, 2018 due to the fundraising nature of the event, and the committee’s inability to fund YSU student participation.

Section 9: National Society of Black Engineers is appropriated the sum of $0 from the general fund for their “NSBE Nationals Conference 2018” event held on March 21st, 2018 thru March 25th, 2018 due to absence from the appropriations meeting.
