A Bill

Make Appropriations for 8 organizations

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Youngstown State University Student Government Association assembled, that the following sums are appropriated, out of any money in the Appropriations Fund not otherwise appropriated, for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2018, for the following activities of student organizations:

Section 1: Minority Education Association and Youngstown Student Education Association are appropriated the sum of $1,315 from the general fund and $300 from Chartwells to defray the cost of food and presenter fees for the “Understanding Poverty” event held on March 31, 2018. This event will be held in Beeghly Hall. One Hundred Twenty-Five (125) students are expected to attend.

Section 2: Youngstown Student Education Association is appropriated the sum of $1,100 from the general fund to defray the cost of t-shirts for their “Read Across America” event held on March 14th, 2018. This event will be held in Beeghly Hall. One Hundred Twenty (120) students are expected to attend.

Section 3: Minority Education Association is appropriated the sum of $1,600 from the general fund to defray the cost of bus rental fees for their “Underground Railroad Heritage Center Bus Trip” held on April 7th, 2018. This event will be held in Niagara Falls, NY. Forty (40) students are expected to attend.

Section 4: YSU Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is appropriated the sum of $900 from the general fund to defray the cost of registration, hotel, and gas fees for their “Student Activities Conference” event held on April 6th, 2018 thru April 8th, 2018. This event will be held at University of Pittsburgh. Fourteen (14) students are expected to attend.

Section 5: YSU Hip Hop Team is appropriated the sum of $1,400 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel fees for their “Kalahari Competition” held on April 20th, 2018. This event will be held in Sandusky, OH. Fifteen (15) students are expected to attend.

Section 6: YSU Hip Hop Team is appropriated the sum of $275 from the general fund to defray the cost of rental car fees for their “Cleveland Competition” held on March 25th, 2018. This event will be held in Cleveland, OH. Fifteen (15) students are expected to attend.

Section 7: Sigma Chi Fraternity is appropriated the sum of $75 from the general fund to defray the cost of drum rental fees for their “Roquacade” event held on March 10th, 2018 thru March 11th, 2018. This event will be held at Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts. One Hundred and Thirty-One (131) students are expected to attend.

Section 8: Men’s Club Lacrosse is appropriated the sum of $300 from the general fund to defray the cost of referee fees for their “Home Game” event held on April 14th, 2018. This event will be held in Stambaugh Stadium. Twenty-Five (25) students are expected to attend.

Section 9: Men’s Club Lacrosse is appropriated the sum of $300 from the general fund to defray the cost of referee fees for their “Lacrosse Game” event held on April 7th, 2018. This event will be held in Stambaugh Stadium. Twenty-Five (25) students are expected to attend.

Section 10: YSU Bass Team is appropriated the sum of $750 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel and gas fees for their “FLW Open” event held on March 1st, 2018 thru March 7th, 2018. This event will be held in Kentucky lake, TN. Two (2) students are expected to attend.

Section 11: YSU Bass Team is appropriated the sum of $750 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel and gas fees for their “FLW Regional Qualifier” event held on

April 17th, 2018 thru April 21st, 2018. This event will be held in Smith Mountain Lake, VA. Six (6) students are expected to attend.

Section 12: Bowling Club is appropriated the sum of $250 from the general fund to defray the cost of rental car and hotel fees for their “American Heartland Intercollegiate Conference Championship” event held on February 25th, 2018. This event will be held in Beavercreek, OH. Five (5) students are expected to attend.

Section 13: Bowling Club is appropriated the sum of $640 from the general fund to defray the cost of hotel and entry fees for their “USBC Collegiate Sectionals” event held on March 9th, 2018. This event will be held in Smyrna, TN. Five (5) students are expected to attend.

Section 14: Campus Crusade for Christ, is appropriated the sum of $500 from the general fund to defray the cost of registration fees for their “Spring Break Mission Trip” even held on March 4th, 2018 thru March 8th, 2018. This event will be held in Cleveland, OH. Five (5) students are expected to attend.
